Florida Gulf? More like Florida Golf!
Imagine winning $5,000 just by hitting a hole-in-one?
Well, that almost happened! The opportunity was at the Florida Attractions Association (FAA) on Friday, October 11, 2019. This charity event raised money for the FAA scholarship fund for students who want to continue in the Visitor Attractions industry. There were many proud sponsors at each of the 18 holes, and 80 players ready to play the green for a great cause.
The 8th hole in the game was proudly-sponsored by Guest Services, Inc. Florida properties – Flamingo Adventures at Everglades National Park, Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, Rainbow Springs State Park, The Lodge at Wakulla Springs, and the Everglades 10,000 Island Tour in Everglades City.
Sadly, there weren’t any hole-in-one winners, but three people were so close to hitting the winning shot.
Guest Services, Inc. Assistant Vice President of Hospitality Laura Sherman and her team received second-place. “It was a beautiful day in Kissimmee, Florida, at Falcons Fire for the FAA tournament. It was a great turn out for the event and the conference,” says Laura Sherman.
Congratulations to all players and sponsors for a great event. Look at some photos from the event below!
