Weeki Wachee Springs State Park

  • Due to limited seating, we cannot assure that all guests will be able to enjoy the River Boat Cruise.
  • Inclement weather may affect park operations. It is recommended that you call the park on days with unfavorable weather for any possible changes.
  • Tickets are not refundable. This includes weather closures. Please check the forecast before visiting the park.
  • The ticket window closes at 4:30 PM each day.
  • You cannot purchase tickets for anyone not presently with you. There are no refunds given for tickets not used because capacity was reached before they arrived. You may use those tickets up to one year from the date of purchase.
  • If you are arriving during inclement weather and the water activities are temporarily closed, the park will not sell any tickets. Entry will be allowed only when the water safety team deems it safe.
  • Pets are not permitted in the park with the exception of service dogs, as defined by the ADA. Emotional support dogs are NOT recognized by the ADA as service animals. Kennels are not available. Do NOT leave your pet in the car. We will call the local sheriff’s office immediately, and they will issue a fine.
  • Food and drink are not permitted inside the buildings at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, including the Underwater Theater. However, you can bring food/drink into the park, and use the picnic areas located on the water park side (Buccaneer Bay).
  • No cooking/grilling is permitted. Alcohol and glassware are NOT permitted anywhere in the park. There is a concessionaire who sells food inside the park.
  • Radios and boomboxes are not permitted.
  • Appropriate clothing is required. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park reserves the right to refuse admittance for inappropriate or offensive attire.
  • Shirt and shoes are required. This includes inside the underwater theater.
  • Costumes (including mermaid tails), are not permitted to be worn inside the park.
  • Swimming is not permitted in the main-spring. Only in the designated swimming area at Buc Bay.
  • Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • The park offers FREE Wi-Fi for the day by joining Tengo internet.
  • No scuba gear will be allowed to launch from the State Park Launch area

Park Rules for Buccaneer Bay Waterpark

  • Inclement weather may affect park operations. It is recommended that you call the park on days with unfavorable weather for any possible changes.
  • Tickets are not refundable. This includes weather closures. Please check the weather forecast before visiting the park.
  • Pets are not permitted inside the park with the exception of service dogs, as defined by the ADA. Companion/emotional support pets are not defined as a service pet.
  • To help protect the spring, the environment, and the comfort of others, the beach area at Buccaneer Bay is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is permitted in outdoor designated areas only.
  • The ticket window closes at 4:30 PM each day.
  • The waterslides and swimming area close at 5 PM.
  • Guests must be at least 42 inches tall to ride Pirate’s Revenge and the Thunderbolt flumes and 48 inches tall to ride the Cannonball. Denim shorts (cut-off jeans), nor shirts, are not permitted to be worn on the water slides for safety. Swim (skin) shirts are acceptable.
  • Only tubes rented from the concessionaire are permitted on the lazy river. Tubes and other personal flotation devices are not permitted inside the park. Only children’s safety flotation devices are permitted, i.e, life jackets, water-wings, etc. Small infant tubes are permitted in the kiddie pool only. Management reserves the right to enforce this rule for safety purposes. 
  • You can bring your own chairs, tents, coolers, and umbrellas. However, umbrellas and tents are not permitted on the beach. You will need to speak with a lifeguard upon arrival as to where you can set up, so not to impede a lifeguard’s vision of the swimming area. ALL coolers will be checked at the gate upon arrival.

  • Buccaneer Bay is a natural spring, therefore accessible to all wildlife that may inhabit the river. Wildlife may include alligators, turtles, manatees & otters. DO NOT approach, touch, or feed any of the wildlife. It is against the law.
  • The park offers FREE Wi-Fi for the day by joining tengointernet.

WHAT SWIM WEAR IS ACCEPTABLE AT THE WATER PARK?

Due to the family nature of the Buccaneer Bay Water Park all guests are required to wear proper swim wear. Swim wear that is revealing or otherwise inappropriate for the environment is prohibited and may result in removal from the Buccaneer Bay Water Park. Proper swim wear is required on all attractions. Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation are not permitted. Wetsuits are permitted in the pool areas, but not on slides. Swim diapers are required for children three years of age and younger. Guests are required to be fully clothed when entering and leaving Buccaneer Bay Water Park through Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. Swim wear alone is not permitted.
