February 20 & 21

This nostalgic show will take you back to the early years of Weeki Wachee Springs by the ladies who created the magic.  The former mermaid show includes performers representing the decades from the 40's to the 70's.  Don't miss this magical performance by this special group of ladies.  Show times for the former mermaid show is 12:30 p.m. each day.








Lifeguard Class Now Offered for Buccaneer Bay 2010 Season!

Lifeguard classes are now scheduled for anyone interested in becoming a lifeguard at Buccaneer Bay Water Park at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.

There are two classes scheduled.  You MUST attend all class dates and cannot be late!  Tardiness will result in automatic removal from the class.

Class 1 is scheduled for March 5, 6, 7 & 13.
Class 2 is scheduled for March 12, 14, 20 & 21

Prior to the classes, a prerequsite swim test will be held on February 20 @ 1 p.m. at the park.

Participants must be able to swim 500 yards (crawl & breast stroke) and pick up a 10 lb. object at the bottome of the river.

Space is limited.

The cost is $80.00 for returning lifeguards and $130.00 for new guards.

You must at least 16 years of age.
